 The ICA has a strategic plan for the years 2012 to 2016, include the Expert Group on Archival Description (EGAD). A strategy of trying to unify as far as possible in a single standard four exists standards of the ICA, ISAD(G), ISAAR (CPF), ISDF and ISDIAH, is to be developed. Secondly, work on models of semantic web technologies, in particular conceptual models (or ontologies) and Linked Open Data (LOD) is to be carried out.
